MARTIN Salter targeted a stretch of the Bristol Avon at Chippenham to tempt his first 2lb roach of the season on waggler-fished triple red maggot.
The Labour MP for Reading West took advantage of a rise in water levels to target roach, catching this 2lb 3oz specimen plus three others over 1lb 8oz.
Martin has targeted no fewer than seven different rivers to amass a tally of over fifty 2lb-plus roach, topped by a personal best of 2lb 14oz 8dr.
